📋 Description

• Execute the Compass AI product roadmap with the VP of Product, translating strategy into deliverable work • Identify and prioritize AI use cases across advising, enrollment, financial aid, retention, and student wellbeing • Shape agentic and autonomous workflows, including multi-agent coordination, advisor copilots, and proactive outreach • Lead customer discovery, user research, pilots, and prototype evaluations • Develop and maintain human-in-the-loop frameworks for trustworthy AI recommendations • Define epics, problem statements, user stories, and success criteria across engineering and design • Maintain roadmap visibility, document product decisions, and resolve ambiguity before engineering work begins • Partner with engineering on solution design and technical considerations • Communicate roadmap updates to Sales, Customer Success, and leadership • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Customer Success, and go-to-market teams on AI capabilities • Expand Compass AI’s agent library, including scope, triggers, escalation behavior, and intervention design • Integrate LLMs, workflow automation, and data pipelines into the Compass platform • Monitor the AI vendor landscape and inform build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience • Experience owning complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through delivery • Direct experience with AI/ML products, including LLM-powered tools, conversational experiences, or autonomous agent systems • Enterprise or SaaS experience is ideal • Ability to execute effectively within a defined strategy • Deep fluency in AI models, emerging tooling, agent frameworks, and competitive dynamics • Familiarity with higher education, edtech, or student success platforms is a plus • Strong collaboration skills • Ability to manage multiple concurrent AI initiatives • Hands-on familiarity with AI workflow design, prompt engineering, and human-in-the-loop system design • Product operations experience with roadmap tooling, documentation, stakeholder communication, and tools such as Jira, Airtable, Asana, or Confluence • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Comfort with ambiguity and learning complex domains • Patience and empathy with customers new to AI • Ongoing curiosity about AI and the ability to distinguish hype from deployable technology
