📋 Description

• Reviewing and coding medical records for inpatient and outpatient services • Accurately assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes • Collaborating with medical professionals to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations • Identifying and reporting any coding discrepancies or issues • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of coded claims • Maintaining confidentiality and security of all patient information • Participating in coding audits and providing feedback for improvement

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a certification in medical coding preferred • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a remote setting • Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Proficient in using coding software and electronic health records systems
