📋 Description

• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and observable CI/CD pipelines in GitLab. • Implement a "shift-left" security strategy, integrating scanning tools without causing unnecessary friction in developers' workflows. • Define severity baselines and manage the gradual transition of scanners from "report-only" to "blocking" mode. • Containerize applications using optimized Dockerfiles (multi-stage, minimal/distroless images) and manage image lifecycle in Artifact Registry. • Configure secure authentication between GitLab and GCP (OIDC / Workload Identity Federation). • Instrument pipeline observability (execution time, failure rate, runner costs) and optimize performance and cost. • Document and evangelize DevSecOps practices; serve as a technical reference for product teams. • Participate in reliability culture: SLOs, blameless postmortems, and reduction of toil.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI/CD; experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is transferable). • Strong knowledge of Docker and image builds (multi-stage, optimization, container security). • Experience with at least one cloud provider — GCP is a strong plus (Artifact Registry, IAM, Service Accounts, Workload Identity). • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and scanning tools (SAST, SCA, secret detection). • Scripting in Bash and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or similar). • Git version control and Merge/Pull Request–based workflows. • Nice-to-haves: experience with GitLeaks, Semgrep, and/or Trivy; OIDC / Workload Identity Federation configuration; Terraform or Pulumi; Kubernetes / GKE and deployment strategies (Cloud Run, GKE, blue-green, canary); integrating AI/LLM tools into engineering workflows; image signing (cosign), SBOM generation and supply chain security (SLSA); cloud certifications (GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or equivalent).
