📋 Description

• Operate consultatively with customers and prospects to define challenges and opportunities • Map customer challenges to the Couchbase ecosystem and present differentiating, sustainable business value • Educate customers, become a trusted advisor, challenge assumptions, and deliver value • Present possible approaches and creative solutions • Support technical and business discovery activities, including workshops and demonstrations, across multiple opportunities • Work closely with the sales team on account strategy and identifying opportunities in existing and new accounts • Manage customer proof-of-concepts and pilots through acceptance criteria and issue escalation/resolution • Develop and deliver engaging company and product presentations and demonstrations • Explain the Couchbase ecosystem and its applicability to business objectives and value to managers, architects, and developers • Serve as the technical product expert and advisor for customers and stay current on the competitive data-solutions landscape • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to provide field feedback and represent the customer perspective • Identify and write internal and external technical collateral, including deployment architectures, best practices, and industry standards

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in a Pre-Sales, Customer-Facing, or Consulting role • 3+ years of experience in software development or related industries • Familiarity with NoSQL databases or other distributed high-performance systems • Excellent presentation skills, presenting technical solutions to customers from development roles through the C-Suite • Passion for diving into technical issues and solving customer challenges • Programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, C, or SQL • Experience with at least one major cloud service provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience designing solutions on at least one major database platform, including data modeling, indexes, and query optimization • Fluent in English
