📋 Description

• Design, deploy, automate, and support network solutions in massive-scale AWS/Azure/GCP environments • Work with VM/container-based firewalls including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Check Point, as well as cloud-native firewall solutions • Support Kubernetes platforms and workloads across major public cloud providers • Develop roadmaps using established public cloud design standards • Participate in design reviews and provide network support and technical leadership to Engineering • Manage network infrastructure as code, eliminate toil, and maintain service ownership and accountability • Evaluate, specify, implement, and support network performance, capacity, and availability monitoring tools • Grow the global network function, onboard network development engineers, provide technical leadership, and set team direction • Stay current with network infrastructure developments, network with peers, and attend industry events • Participate in an on-call rotation as required • Travel occasionally as needed to perform the job function

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 10+ years of professional experience, including some in an enterprise SaaS organization • Expert knowledge of firewalls, VPN, DNS, BGP, and public cloud networking constructs across AWS, Azure, and GCP • Experience managing and maintaining a production-facing Kubernetes environment • Expert knowledge of Kubernetes networking and CNI implementations • Deep understanding of Ingress/Gateway controllers, cluster service discovery and DNS, and NetworkPolicy functionality • Experience operating in both data center and cloud environments • Experience managing and supporting multiple Linux distributions • Ability to code in Golang, Python, Java, Ruby, or equivalent languages • Familiarity with Terraform and CloudFormation, or Chef, Ansible, and/or Spacelift • Active use of AI tools and methodologies to streamline workflows • Advanced network troubleshooting, including packet capture analysis and traffic flow diagnostics • Ability to own and deliver projects and issues through resolution • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities • Solid understanding of networking systems and protocols in public cloud environments • Willingness to work in a collaborative and supportive environment
