📋 Description

• Design and implement major components of Credibly's lending origination, servicing, and reporting system • Work hands-on in a development team, attend stand-up meetings, and substantially overlap working hours with Eastern Time, with a minimum overlap from 9am to 1pm ET • Collaborate with engineering, product, data science, and business stakeholders to create and implement solutions supporting online lending and servicing • Lead the design and development of new software products and major enhancements for clients and business partners • Analyze, vet, and review code supporting database and software solutions on an AWS-hosted enterprise platform • Leverage generative AI tools and LLMs to accelerate development, improve productivity, and build innovative product features • Mentor and lead more junior team members

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building and running production Python services, including ownership through deployment, monitoring, and production incidents • 5+ years designing and consuming REST APIs in a microservices architecture, with clear reasoning about service boundaries, versioning, and backward compatibility • Hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS/EKS or Lambda, SQS/SNS, S3, and CloudWatch or equivalent observability tooling • Relational data modeling and query tuning in MySQL • Practical DynamoDB access-pattern design • Automated testing with pytest or similar • CI/CD pipelines, incremental rollout, and troubleshooting on Linux • Demonstrated technical leadership, including leading a multi-engineer effort end to end, authoring designs, reviewing work, and developing less experienced engineers • Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures, Airflow or similar orchestration • Experience with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy ORM • Experience with Docker and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation • Experience with React or another modern frontend framework • Experience building with LLMs and GenAI, including prompt design, evaluation, RAG or agentic workflows, and working effectively alongside AI coding agents • Experience with financial services applications and regulated data, especially lending or payments • Knowledge of web application security practices, including authentication/authorization, OWASP basics, and secrets handling
