📋 Description

• Architect and build robust, globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud systems. • Define, monitor, and achieve Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for critical services, leveraging error budgets. • Implement robust monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing solutions to proactively identify and address system issues. • Drive initiatives to optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce operational costs (COGS) without compromising reliability or performance. • Automate operational tasks, deployments, and incident response procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual toil. • Work on and enrich backend microservices – from researching areas of concern to implementing the final solution. • Leverage existing CrowdStrike tools and services to build cloud-based systems that detect targeted attacks. • Brainstorm, research, define, communicate, and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams. • Have a strong focus on Quality of Coding through Best Practices, comprehensive Testing, and robust Observability. • Mentor other developers on our system. • Work in a collaborative & Agile environment with a small, fast-moving team, with the autonomy to own your work in a high-trust environment. • Be aware of our customers and the difficulties they face and how we can support them. • Continuously improve our product's architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability. • Be committed to learning and improving.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science (or professional experience in data structures/algorithms/distributed systems). • At least 7 years of previous experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on large-scale distributed systems and cloud environments. • Proven experience in operating and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems in a production environment. • Deep understanding and practical application of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. • Deep understanding of scalability and distributed systems core concepts (e.g., sharding, partitioning, concurrency, consensus algorithms). • Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortems to continuously improve system reliability. • A thorough understanding of engineering best practices, from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture. • The ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment. • The skills to meet your commitments on time and produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development, operations, and product teams. • Being a team player. • Bonus Points: Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch. • Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields. • Experience with specific monitoring, alerting, or incident management platforms.
