📋 Description

• Review current ML-based product detections to ensure they are performing to the company standard • Review customer-based reports of false positives and false negatives • Review adversary intrusions and create ML-based security detections as needed • Analyze files and events to determine their legitimacy • Analyze data at scale, ideally through automation, to help identify emerging trends and threats • Analyze adversary intrusions and take tactical steps to prevent recurrence by creating or modifying ML-based security detections • Identify emerging trends and threats and coordinate with strategists on product and service improvements • Address customer requests related to the efficacy and function of machine learning detection models • Work closely with Technical Account Managers, Falcon Complete, OverWatch, Data Scientists, and Malware Researchers

🎯 Requirements

• Exposure to and understanding of different types and functionality of malware • Experience with reverse engineering malware, detection engineering, threat hunting, or data analysis at scale • Fundamental understanding of attributes of binary files such as imports/exports and packers • Ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of research/collection skills and analytical methods • A creative approach to problem solving and closing detection gaps • An excellent understanding of at least one major operating system type, or a public cloud provider • Ability to break down complex problems into workable components • Experience with analyzing data at scale, and gleaning useful business intelligence and trends • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes • BA/BS or MA/MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field • Experience with machine learning concepts is a plus • May be expected to be on-call a handful of times a year
