📋 Description

• Manage and provide technical oversight of emergency response and recovery projects throughout the project cycle, including design, start-up, implementation, and close-out • Ensure projects align with CRS quality principles and standards, donor guidelines, and industry best practices • Manage talent, supervise staff, support team dynamics and staff well-being, coach direct reports, develop individual development plans, and complete performance management • Oversee technical assistance and capacity strengthening for staff and partner organizations • Lead program learning, research, publications, MEAL policy implementation, dissemination of promising practices, lessons learned, innovations, and best practices • Pursue new funding opportunities and serve as technical lead and writer for emergency response and recovery proposals • Contribute to proposal budgeting and staffing plans • Identify, assess, and strengthen partnerships relevant to emergency response and recovery • Ensure timely project expenditures and efficient stewardship of project materials • Represent CRS in working groups, clusters, donor engagements, and with local stakeholders • Support hazard and risk mapping, response planning, MEAL readiness, donor communication channels, and rapid humanitarian response readiness across Latin American and Caribbean program offices and partners

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in International Development, International Relations, Community Development, WASH, shelter, livelihoods, or food security required • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant field-based project management experience • Experience managing moderately complex projects • Experience working in an international NGO • Experience working closely with local partner organizations • MEAL skills and experience • Staff management experience and ability to foster a learning environment • Experience with MS Windows, MS Office packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, web conferencing applications, and information management systems • Experience in project grants management and project design, preferably for grants from multiple public donors including the U.S. government and UN • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality technical proposals • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound judgment • Strong relationship management abilities • Good presentation and facilitation skills • Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented, and results-oriented • Proficiency in written and verbal English and Spanish required; French preferred • Must be able and willing to travel at least 50% of the time, often at very short notice within 48 hours • Capacity to live and work in difficult/stressful environments and serve wherever agency needs dictate • Located in or able to cover Central Standard Time (CST), UTC-6 • Preferred: Master’s Degree in a relevant development, relations, community development, WASH, shelter, livelihoods, or food security field • Preferred: At least 1 year of emergency programming experience
