📋 Description

• Perform fundamental tasks for estimating, project management and field construction teams in a timely and accurate manner • Prepare take-offs from plans • Create shop drawings and submittals • Screen upcoming bids for size, special requirements such as public, prevailing wage, EEO, bid bond, allowances, etc. • Maintain and update project records as required • Provide support to estimators and project managers as needed • Develop and maintain knowledge of waterproofing, air barrier, and fireproofing products and installation techniques • Perform other tasks analogous to the foregoing. • Assist in providing a cost estimates by doing what is typically known as a take off of the plans for the lighting fixtures • This person will be counting fixtures in project blueprints and provide that to our quotations people. • Analyzing project requirements, reading blueprints, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project costs are accurately forecasted.

🎯 Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in Construction Management, Estimating, Engineering, or similar field and/or equivalent experience • Construction experience in the field, including exposure to materials management and project operations • Ability to read, understand, and estimate from plans • Strong decision-making, planning, and problem-solving skills • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Positive and professional attitude with strong interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Strong verbal and written communications • Familiarity with building/estimating techniques and software platforms, such as ISqFt, Building Connected, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, QuickBid, Bluebeam/PDF, PlanGrid, Procore, etc. • Proficient with Microsoft Office products • Ability to sit for extended periods of time using a computer and reading plans/specifications.
