Delta Exchange is a crypto derivatives exchange offering futures and options trading for major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ether. 📋 Description

• Drive the shift from manual, ticket-driven infrastructure operations to an automated, infrastructure-as-code-first estate • Own environments, CI/CD, deployments, devnet/testnet health, and observability so backend developers can focus on application code • Design and operate the AWS estate, including VPC and network architecture, EKS lifecycle, data and compute tiers, and infrastructure cost implications • Author, operate, and evolve Terraform modules, state strategy, drift control, PR-driven reviews, self-service paths, and pipeline-based runbooks • Own the delivery platform, including CI/CD health, build times, flake rates, deploy frequency, ephemeral/preview environments, self-service development environments, and staging/devnet/testnet health • Define and operate reliability and disaster recovery practices, including RTO/RPO targets, multi-AZ/region failover, game days, tested restores, SLOs, alert quality, and incident response • Implement day-to-day security hygiene through least-privilege IAM, secrets lifecycle management, patch cadence, network segmentation, and IaC guardrails • Build infrastructure that supports the financial system and cryptocurrency derivatives exchange serving traders globally

🎯 Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure roles • Currently hands-on; recent pure-management experience is not suitable for this individual-contributor role • Deep AWS experience designing and operating production estates • Infrastructure-as-code discipline; Terraform experience, or transferable Pulumi/CloudFormation experience with real estate ownership • Production container orchestration experience with self-managed Kubernetes or EKS; deep ECS experience may transfer • Programming experience beyond configuration, using Python, Go, or Bash for custom exporters/operators/controllers, CI tooling, or application-level instrumentation • Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP, DNS, routing, TLS, and load balancing • Strong Linux fundamentals, including systemd, performance analysis, and deep debugging • IAM policy reasoning skills • Disaster recovery experience defining targets, running drills, testing failover, or working hands-on alongside someone who did • Experience with an AWS-only environment and EKS is relevant to the role • Bonus: experience at a lean or regulated organization, as a first-or-only DevOps hire, or building a platform under resource constraints • Bonus: fintech or exchange operations experience • Bonus: experience transforming manual infrastructure operations into automated workflows • Bonus: AI-augmented operations with guardrails, LLM-assisted runbooks or IaC governed by policy-as-code and review standards • Bonus: BEAM/Elixir exposure
