📋 Description

• Lead an engineering team, owning delivery and team development • Drive continuous improvement through fast iterations • Support team members' professional well-being and career development through 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and feedback • Develop future tech leads, engineering managers, staff engineers, and senior individual contributors • Write, review, and maintain code at a senior level • Drive architectural and technical design decisions with senior individual contributors • Uphold engineering standards through pull-request reviews and a healthy release process • Lead an AI-augmented engineering team while maintaining quality standards • Own team commitments, delivery timelines, and quality standards • Run planning, prioritization, and delivery cadence • Partner with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on scope, sequencing, tradeoffs, and roadmap • Align engineering work with broader business objectives • Re-plan, re-prioritize, and re-staff as business needs change • Own hiring, interviewing, recruiting, coaching, and performance decisions • Mentor peer engineering managers and strengthen the management bench • Communicate context and escalations to leadership • Empower senior engineers and coach team members • Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and other teams

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience • 4+ years in engineering management roles with active coding responsibilities • Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products • Production experience running services on Microsoft Azure; AWS/GCP experience ideally additionally • Strong background understanding and leading teams in the FinOps space • API-first product development mindset • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including full-stack and data engineers • Track record of visibly transforming engineering teams with measurable improvements in delivery velocity, technical quality, or team caliber • Deep technical fluency in the team's primary stack; ability to read, write, and review code at a senior level • Clear philosophy on hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making • Excellent judgment under pressure • Direct, candid communication skills • Strong Golang knowledge or experience (bonus) • Established AI-augmented workflow and knowledge of AI tools and agentic workflows (bonus) • Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers (bonus) • Experience scaling teams, processes, or technical systems (bonus)
