📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of four data engineers and service managers • Set direction, prioritize work, and grow the team’s technical and delivery capabilities • Own a core data cloud application end to end, including ongoing development, service, and reliable operation • Support roadmap topics and contribute to the application and analytical data platform vision • Translate strategic direction into concrete deliverables • Contribute hands-on to data engineering work • Perform data onboarding for the operational data warehouse and analytical backbone • Build and maintain data pipelines • Develop end-to-end data applications • Drive data quality, performance, and reliability across the platform and applications • Deliver analytics projects that create business value • Participate in and contribute to cross-functional collaboration teams as required • Report to the Senior Manager Data Onboarding, Analytics & Operational Data Services

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced senior data engineer with people leadership experience • Strong hands-on technical foundation in modern data engineering and cloud-based data environments • Understanding of data lake/lakehouse architectures and structured data processing, including Delta Lake concepts • Experience with integration patterns in distributed systems, including API-based integrations, event-driven architecture, message queues, and batch versus real-time processing • Knowledge of data modeling concepts, including semantic models, canonical data models, mapping structures, and enrichment logic • Practical experience with JSON, XML, EDI, and CSV • Experience working with APIs and API payloads • Understanding of data quality frameworks, monitoring approaches, and data validation techniques • Familiarity with CI/CD principles, DevOps practices, and version-controlled deployment in data environments • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and deliver them hands-on with the team and IT • Master’s degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience • Proven experience as a senior data engineer, including leading or guiding people or teams • Good verbal and written English skills • Good communication skills • Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities • Ability to work collaboratively and actively listen • Highly proficient in MS Office • Solid understanding of modern data architectures in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory or comparable orchestration tools • Experience with Databricks, including transformation logic, data validation, and performance optimization • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
