📋 Description

• Analyze the documentation and materials provided by the client to define the defense strategy; • Draft defenses, pleadings and other procedural documents related to the merits stage; • Gather and request the evidence necessary to defend the client's interests; • Prepare objections, responses to documents, replies and other petitions relevant to the evidentiary/instruction phase; • Monitor case progress, taking timely actions required during the merits stage; • Attend conciliation hearings and evidentiary/trial hearings as needed; • Prepare case reports and technical legal opinions related to the matters under your responsibility; • Populate and keep internal systems and client systems up to date; • Act in accordance with internal procedures, ensuring technical quality, productivity and compliance with procedural deadlines; • Provide technical/legal support to internal departments as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent; • Active registration with the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association); • Experience in Banking Law, Civil Law or Consumer Law; • Experience in high-volume civil litigation, preferably on the defendant side; • Experience drafting procedural documents and acting in all phases of litigation; • Familiarity with the procedures of the Small Claims Courts (Juizados Especiais Cíveis) and the regular civil courts; • Knowledge of legal calculations and enforcement of judgments; • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Word; • Strong legal drafting skills, analytical ability and technical interpretation; • Organization, deadline management, sense of priority and attention to detail; • Proactivity, commitment and ability to work well in a team.
