📋 Description
• lead the execution of our UK Residency program • manage operational foundations needed for UK presence • deepen partnerships with ARIA and build relationships with funding agencies • represent Convergent across UK policy and science circles • serve as a voting board member on multiple UK-based FROs • work with leadership to refine the UK expansion roadmap
🎯 Requirements
• operated in both the startup world and the UK science/policy world • deep understanding of British research funding (UKRI, ARIA, Innovate UK) • experience designing, running, and iterating cohort-based programs, accelerators, residencies, or similar • ability to build five-year roadmaps and also fix immediate issues • comfort with governance and fiduciary responsibility • extensive network across UK research institutions, funding bodies, or policy circles • can pressure-test strategy, identify red flags, and make calls with incomplete information • strong written and verbal communication skills • empathy for scientists and healthy disrespect for academic incentives • comfort with wearing many hats
