📋 Description

• Perform analytical techniques described in company procedures, critically evaluating results, meeting deadlines, maintaining organization, and ensuring the safety and integrity of all personnel. • Perform and supervise the various analytical steps, including weighing, extraction and homogenization, among others. • Train new staff with the support of the Coordinator. • Enter evaluated results, repeats and additional analyses into the LIMS system, as well as record pertinent information. • Submit purchase requests for laboratory materials in the system under the supervision of the Coordination team, if necessary. • Assist with sending items for calibration. • Provide guidance and oversight to Assistants, Lab Aides and Interns. • Review and create new documents in the Quality Management system. • Participate, under supervision, in method validations regarding analytical stages. • Communicate with the sample registration (Login) area regarding samples in process. • Assist with checking analytical results / performing critical analyses. • Perform proficiency tests. • Report any issues in the laboratory routine to the Senior Analyst or Coordinator. • Organize the laboratory for the preparation of materials (solutions, buffers, culture media, standard solutions), check temperatures, and verify the expiry of solutions and reagents in use. • Communicate the need for materials and for corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment to the Senior Analyst or Coordinator. • File documents according to Quality training. • Segregate and dispose of waste.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biology or related fields (in progress acceptable) • Completed degree is an advantage • Intermediate English • 1 to 3 years of experience in the area • Knowledge of the relevant technical area and related activities
