📋 Description

• Build financial projections for banking licence and payment institution / EMI applications, including P&L, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity • Own funds and regulatory capital planning, including requirements, headroom, and behaviour under growth and stress • Model safeguarding and payment buffers across regulated entities • Support legal, compliance, and regulatory teams through application and Q&A cycles • Defend assumptions and rework projections against deadlines • Keep licence and capital models reconciled to the company financial model and actuals • Develop business cases and investment cases for new markets, products, and initiatives • Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis for the CEO, CFO, and Supervisory Board • Analyze profitability and unit economics at product, segment, and market level • Prepare board and investor materials • Support fundraising through model preparation, diligence responses, and investor questions • Support M&A workstreams, including valuation, structuring analysis, and diligence • Partner with selected functions on planning, cost, and investment decisions • Perform ad-hoc analysis • Work directly with the VP of Finance as the fourth member of the senior Corporate Finance team

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in corporate finance, strategic finance, financial modelling, transaction services, or the finance function of a bank or fintech • Built or materially maintained sophisticated financial models for a bank, fintech, or financial institution • Exposure to regulatory financial models, including licence applications, capital planning, ICAAP/ILAAP, or regulatory reporting • Exceptional Excel / Google Sheets modelling skills • Excellent working command of the three financial statements and how they interact • Understanding of banking or fintech economics: interchange, net interest income, funding, and capital • Extreme attention to detail and healthy perfectionism • Structured thinking and an ownership mentality • Comfortable working independently with the CFO, CEO, and board-level stakeholders • Strong written and verbal English • SQL and familiarity with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau) preferred • Python preferred • Hands-on use of AI tools preferred • Treasury, capital management, or regulatory reporting background preferred • Experience in a firm pursuing or holding a banking licence preferred • Big Four, investment banking, or consulting foundation followed by an in-house fintech role preferred
