📋 Description

• Design and build the core accounting product, including general ledger, chart of accounts, journals, AP/AR, reconciliation, and financial reporting • Own integrations with inventory, payments, POS transaction flows, and regulatory e-invoicing • Work full stack across schema, backend, and frontend • Translate accounting requirements into system designs with a product manager and domain accountant • Use AI tooling to evaluate reference systems, generate and review code, and accelerate development • Make early architectural decisions and defend them • Ship rapidly and test the product with real merchants • Build a new accounting platform from zero as one of the first engineers on a small squad

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building production software, with meaningful time on accounting, ERP, or financial systems • Understanding of double-entry accounting, period close, and ledger systems • Strong full-stack engineering skills • Comfortable owning a feature from schema to screen • Daily use of AI agents and LLM tooling, with judgment about reliability and trust • Track record of shipping quickly in an early-stage or greenfield environment • Ability to work substantially within GMT+3 hours • Care for correctness in financially sensitive systems • Product instinct and ability to shape products alongside a Product partner • Experience building or operating a ledger, double-entry engine, or transaction-processing system at scale • Fintech, banking, payments, or financial services background • Familiarity with ERP platforms such as ERPNext, Odoo, NetSuite, or SAP • Experience with ZATCA e-invoicing or comparable regional tax and regulatory integrations • Experience shipping AI-powered features • Arabic speaker is a strong plus
