📋 Description

• Expand FSC-certified forest area across Romania • Influence policy, market dynamics, and stakeholder alignment • Act as a key representative of FSC in the national forest sector • Translate strategy into measurable impact on the ground • Develop and execute a national strategy for FSC Forest Management certification • Build and manage a pipeline of certification opportunities • Expand FSC-certified forest area and number of certificate holders • Engage with key stakeholders including forest owners and government institutions • Support implementation of the FSC Forest Stewardship Standard • Provide technical guidance to stakeholders • Deliver trainings and workshops to promote FSC

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in forestry, sustainability, certification, or related fields • Strong understanding of the Romanian forestry sector and governance landscape • Experience engaging with government and industry stakeholders • FSC or certification experience is a strong plus • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills • Ability to combine technical expertise with strategic thinking • Project management and execution capability • Government engagement experience in the field of forestry • Auditing experience is an advantage • High level of independence and accountability • Degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field • Fluency in Romanian and English
