📋 Description

• Configure and manage core Workday Payroll components, including earning and deduction codes, calculation rules, payroll runs, and deduction frequencies • Design and maintain tax configuration structures for multi-state, federal, or localized statutory tax authorities and compliance profiles • Construct payroll accounting tables mapping payroll transactions to the general ledger and resolve costing balance anomalies • Build business process rules for payroll routing and configure validation checks for processing errors, off-cycle events, and gross-to-net variances • Govern compliance and settlement runs, including bank integration lines for direct deposit, EFT, positive pay, and check printing • Support tax filing and year-end procedures, including balance adjustments, statutory adjustments such as W-2 and T4 summaries, and quarter-end reporting troubleshooting • Lead upgrade evaluation runs for biannual platform releases and execute regression test suites in payroll sandboxes

🎯 Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of enterprise payroll engine technology experience • 4+ years of dedicated experience designing, building, and maintaining Workday Payroll modules • Strong technical mastery of Workday Payroll calculation engine logic, cumulative tracking fields, processing configurations, and calculated fields • Deep understanding of gross-to-net calculation pipelines, tax reciprocity matrices, pre/post-tax deduction limits, and compliance frameworks • Mandatory Workday Certified Payroll certification (US, Canada, or Global Payroll) • Workday Certified Core HCM certification preferred • Prior consulting or enterprise experience managing multi-entity payroll transitions or deploying Workday alongside external international payroll providers via Cloud Connect for Third-Party Payroll (CCPP) preferred
