📋 Description

• Profile and benchmark services written in Go and PHP, and optimize the application's hotpaths • Analyze and optimize high-volume SQL queries: execution plans, indexing, tuning, and adjustments to database modeling • Monitor production performance and identify bottlenecks and scalability risks • Investigate performance issues in depth: formulate hypotheses, instrument the system, create proofs of concept, and validate solutions with measurements • Propose architectural changes when measurements justify them, involving gRPC, WebSocket, caching, and messaging • Lead the modernization of the legacy system: gradually migrate critical flows from PHP to Go services, with before-and-after measurements and no production downtime • Use LLMs in the development workflow and evaluate AI applications for the squad's products and processes • Recommend improvements to ensure system robustness, scalability, and continuous product evolution

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Go and PHP • Solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis, concurrency, networking, and operating systems • Experience optimizing SQL queries (execution plan analysis, indexing, and tuning) and strong knowledge of data modeling • Experience optimizing hotpaths: profiling and benchmarking code and optimizing critical sections • Knowledge of gRPC and WebSocket • Practical experience with AI: using LLMs in the SDLC • Experience developing, testing, and maintaining web applications in high-availability environments • Knowledge of software architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns • Ability to work with RESTful APIs • Exploratory mindset: technical curiosity, autonomy to investigate issues deeply, and willingness to learn new technologies and tackle complex, challenging work • Enjoy working in a team with transparency and honesty, focusing on results with excellence and agility • Experience with observability and APM (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing) • Experience with caching strategies and CDNs (e.g., Redis, Cloudflare) • Experience with messaging and asynchronous processing (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, queues) • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
