📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of complex automation systems • Define automation engineering standards for code structure, testing, deployment, version control, documentation, and architecture • Lead technical design reviews and identify architectural risks, scalability constraints, integration dependencies, and operational considerations • Drive reliability and modernization of the existing RPA portfolio • Lead transitions from legacy RPA to Playwright, API-native automation, or other modern approaches • Design and productionize AI-integrated and multi-step agentic workflows using LLM reasoning, tool use, APIs, and deterministic process logic • Integrate Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, and Amazon Q into automation pipelines • Partner with IT, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate process challenges into scalable automation requirements • Instrument automation systems with telemetry for reliability, volume, latency, failures, and cost • Provide technical leadership by decomposing work, reviewing code and designs, mentoring teammates, and resolving complex implementation decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, systems integration, or a related discipline • Substantial experience delivering and supporting automation solutions in production • Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript or TypeScript • Ability to write production-quality code, conduct effective code reviews, and make independent architectural decisions • Hands-on experience with RPA platforms such as Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, or equivalent • Experience maintaining production automations, diagnosing failures, and managing changes to dependent systems • Expertise designing resilient automation systems with retry strategies, alerting, state management, observability, and recovery paths • Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs, including authentication patterns, rate limiting, pagination, error handling, and orchestration across multiple services • Strong background in system design, maintainable code, testing, version control, and production-grade delivery • Track record of establishing or contributing to engineering standards • Ability to make technical decisions across legacy and modern automation technologies • Experience working across technical and business teams to clarify requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide complex initiatives • Experience with Playwright or comparable browser automation frameworks • Experience building production agentic AI systems using LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment practices, and version control workflows • Background in enterprise IT operations, IT service management, systems integration, or large-scale business process automation • Experience integrating large language models or enterprise AI platforms into production automation workflows • Familiarity with monitoring, telemetry, and observability practices
