📋 Description

• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning reliability, performance, and availability • Influence the roadmap and personal career objectives • Work with the team to deliver new features and iterate based on results • Drive projects from ideation through customer operations • Contribute to open-source projects beyond the team's direct scope • Participate in on-call rotations and own operated services • Mentor and support team members • Participate in design discussions and collaborate with the team • Learn the cloud product, customer needs, and large distributed-system codebase

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates located in Australia or Singapore • Solid experience with at least one programming language; familiarity with Go, Python, C, C++, Rust or similar • Some experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and brainstorming through shipping to customers • Some experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or experience with systems engineering • Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software • Motivated self-starter with a bias toward action • Customer-focused mindset • Ability to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather feedback, and iterate • Good communication and collaboration skills • Bonus: low-level code for databases, storage layers, or query engines • Bonus: Kubernetes • Bonus: Grafana and/or Prometheus in operational roles • Bonus: microservices architecture and distributed systems • Bonus: on-call, operations/SRE, or infrastructure as code
