📋 Description

• Lead complex Citrix logon performance investigations across all logon phases • Analyze customer logon data across environments, subnets, users, and machines to isolate root causes • Conduct Wireshark packet-level analysis for DNS, drive mapping, proxy/WPAD, and ICA session issues • Analyze Azure Log Analytics and correlate errors with logon timelines • Interpret Citrix Director, Logic Monitor, Power BI, and other data to identify systemic patterns • Use AI tools to analyze Citrix configuration data, policy exports, and knowledge articles • Serve as GPO configuration subject matter expert and identify misconfigurations and performance-impacting settings • Develop and maintain GPO best-practice libraries and Citrix policy standards • Investigate proxy/WPAD issues and drive remediation • Review Optimus and automated audit outputs and drive remediation • Optimize FSLogix containers, profiles, HDX policies, StoreFront, Workspace App, and double-hop architectures • Design and refine the diagnostic playbook • Develop training materials, recorded sessions, runbooks, and lessons-learned libraries • Mentor Systems Engineers and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions • Develop or guide PowerShell/Python automation for GPO auditing and data extraction • Work with internal tooling teams to productionize AI-based audit and policy-analysis capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), including complex multi-site enterprise deployments, performance tuning, and advanced troubleshooting • Expert-level understanding of the Citrix logon process and key VDA/client-side metrics • Deep expertise in Windows Group Policy (GPO), including design, troubleshooting, and optimization in Citrix VDA environments • Proficiency with Citrix Director for session analysis, logon phase breakdowns, and troubleshooting • Experience with Wireshark or equivalent packet capture tools • Strong analytical skills correlating Power BI, Logic Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, event logs, and Citrix Director data • Experience documenting complex findings and creating actionable processes and runbooks • Experience mentoring less senior engineers • Preferred: FSLogix, Azure infrastructure, Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Workspace App, proxy/WPAD, Optimus/OptimistDB, PowerShell and/or Python, AI/LLM tools, CCE-V certification or equivalent expertise, healthcare IT/managed services, double-hop Citrix architectures
