📋 Description

• Responsible for preparing, developing and managing short- and long-term financial and liquidity planning with rolling forecasts and scenario and variance analyses • Further development of our controlling tools and preparation of regular financial analyses, KPIs and reports to support decisions by the Executive Management, leadership team and Board • Management of monthly closing processes and oversight of preparatory accounting in close coordination with operational departments and external tax advisors • Ensuring proper and timely payment processing — from verification through preparation of approvals for payments to service providers and grant recipients • Coordination of the annual financial statements in cooperation with tax advisors and support during audits by financial authorities and grant providers • Preparation of financial plans and cost calculations for grant applications and ongoing financial controlling of funded projects in close collaboration with operational departments • Ensuring compliance with internal policies as well as legal, nonprofit and grant-related requirements in finance and grant management • Expansion, documentation and continuous optimization of finance, controlling and grant management processes as well as development of digital structures and workflows

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in finance, controlling, accounting or grant management • Solid knowledge of financial planning, liquidity management and controlling, plus experience preparing forecasts, financial analyses and management reports • Confident handling of grants, including preparation of financial plans, fund-use reports and financial statements • Excellent skills in Excel, Google Sheets or comparable analysis and controlling tools • Analytical mind-set and the ability to present financial relationships in a clear and understandable way • Enthusiasm for improving finance and controlling processes and for actively shaping structures in a growing organization • High degree of personal responsibility and a structured, reliable and independent way of working • Strong communication skills, team orientation and enjoyment of collaborating with diverse departments • Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) and good English skills
