• Fulfill assigned projects in accordance with the requirements of the Work Orders • Advise customers on the correct use of Hempel products and paint systems using current technical documentation • Ensure compliance with agreed painting specifications, technical standards, work procedures, and best painting practices • Keep all parties informed of work progress through Progress Reports • Notify customers in writing of deviations or non-conformities, recommend preventive/corrective actions, and follow up on implementation • Monitor and control project paint inventory and update front/back office sales • Conduct coating condition surveys onshore and offshore as required • Participate in claim handling procedures and assist in resolution • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including testing and maintaining products, equipment, and services • Evaluate and recommend new products or equipment upgrades • Monitor and resolve recurring issues to ensure customer satisfaction • Manage complex and large-scale projects • Train customers on purchased product features and application • Complete high-quality, timely reports and use information tools according to Hempel procedures • Ensure Technical Services equipment is used according to project procedures, calibrated, and in good working condition • Comply with training programs • Travel to project sites and prepare/distribute technical reports; travel is approximately 80% of working time domestically and internationally • Conduct work safely according to Hempel and worksite HSE guidelines and use required PPE • Provide technical advice and support to sales teams • Conduct technical analyses of product configurations for customer-specific pricing • Prepare and conduct technical sales briefings • Research customer technical specifications • Estimate costs, resources, time, and technical requirements for modifying, configuring, and installing products or solutions • Evaluate sales proposals for technical accuracy and alignment with quality standards
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Coating Advisor in a technical service role (rail, marine or oil and gas a plus) • Experience with airless pumps & plural component preferred • Relevant certifications such as NACE, FROSIO, ABRACO, or IARCOR • Strong knowledge of the paint and coatings industry • Technologically proficient and comfortable using digital reporting tools • University degree in Chemistry or a related field is a plus • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Mexico • Valid US visa required for travel • Important: Please submit CV’s in English
