📋 Description

• Enter and maintain accounting transactions accurately and timely • Process vendor invoices and supporting documentation • Assist with Accounts Payable transaction entry and organization • Assist with Accounts Receivable transaction entry and customer account information • Enter and review project and job-related costs • Maintain accurate vendor and customer records • Organize invoices, purchase documentation, receipts, and other accounting records • Review transactions for missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information • Match invoices, payments, purchase information, and project costs • Maintain accounting spreadsheets, schedules, and supporting documentation • Assist with routine accounting and administrative tasks • Learn the company's accounting systems, construction workflow, chart of accounts, projects, vendors, and internal procedures • Progress into Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management and processing • Perform vendor, bank, credit card, and customer account reconciliations • Perform job costing and project cost review • Review and classify expenses • Monitor outstanding receivables and payables • Assist with month-end accounting procedures • Prepare accounting schedules and reports • Identify accounting discrepancies and research their causes • Support cash flow and financial reporting processes • Assist with quarterly and annual reporting preparation • Work directly with company management and outside accounting and tax professionals • Develop improved accounting procedures, controls, and workflows • Take increasing ownership of accounting functions as experience grows

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field • Strong understanding of accounting principles • Experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable • Experience performing account reconciliations • Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to learn new accounting and business software • Ability to work independently while communicating questions and issues promptly • Reliable internet connection and professional remote-work environment • Professional accounting experience preferred • CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation preferred, but not required for an exceptional candidate • Preferred experience in construction accounting or job costing/project-based accounting • QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience • ERP, construction management, or project management systems experience • Vendor invoice processing • Customer billing and collections • Bank and credit card reconciliations • Month-end close support • Financial reporting support • Experience working successfully in a remote environment
