📋 Description

• Review, allocate, and record accounts payable invoices and transactions • Research and provide missing documentation • Perform transaction clearing, split postings, and account reconciliations • Reconcile bank and payment transactions • Correctly periodize postings based on the service date • Review and record sales and input VAT as applicable in each country • Prepare VAT returns • Review payroll, health insurance contributions, AAG, and EEG contributions • Prepare data from Shopify/Pathway for France • Prepare complete and timely documentation for the tax advisor by the 5th day of the following month • Support the internal accounting function of a D2C e-commerce company

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of bookkeeping experience handling high volumes (400–800+ invoices/transactions per month) • Strong knowledge of transaction clearing, split postings, and account reconciliations • In-depth understanding of sales/input VAT and periodization (DACH region) • Advanced Excel skills • Basic knowledge of cloud tools and digital processes • Reliable, detail-oriented, and deadline-conscious • Structured working style and strong interface management skills • Ability to issue invoices • Residence in the EU (GDPR compliance) • Fluent in German and English • Ideally: Experience with ADDISON; knowledge of e-commerce, Shopify, and payment providers; experience working with tax advisor interfaces
