📋 Description

• Perform initial job preparation for year-end compliance work • Pull income tax, activity statement, and supporting data from the ATO portal • Prepare and lodge ASIC and company secretarial work through NowInfinity • Track compliance deadlines and lodgement dates in Trello • Draft client emails, including lodged returns and ATO account balances • Independently handle ATO correspondence, including notices of assessment and statements of accounts • Follow up clients for outstanding information and act as a first point of contact • Build and issue e-signature packs and chase signatures through completion • File and maintain client documents in Box • Support offshore accountants and the onshore team to keep jobs moving • Maintain process documentation in Notion • Perform bank reconciliations, coding, and BAS preparation where skilled

🎯 Requirements

• Philippines-based candidate • 2–3+ years’ experience in an Australian accounting firm or an Australian-facing accounting support role • Excellent written and spoken English • Confidence working with the ATO portal and understanding Australian compliance rhythms (BAS, IAS, lodgement cycles) • Strong Xero skills • Organised and comfortable working autonomously across time zones, and asking questions early rather than guessing • Bookkeeping experience (bank reconciliations, payroll, BAS preparation) — nice to have • ASIC and company secretarial exposure, ideally using NowInfinity — nice to have • Xero Practice Manager (XPM), BGL, or Class experience — nice to have • Experience supporting a distributed or offshore team — nice to have • Ability to disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work • Expected to reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
