📋 Description

• Run customer discovery, workflow shadowing, and field notes with operators and decision owners • Map users, states, evidence sources, exceptions, and operating constraints • Implement thin production product slices across frontend, backend, data, and integrations • Ensure happy paths work, unsafe paths fail, and behavior survives realistic data • Write tests, run realistic paths, inspect logs, and document proven, missing, or uncertain behavior • Explain tradeoffs, risks, and next steps to non-technical customers without overclaiming • Identify reusable patterns from field work and feed them into product and engineering • Carry ambiguous work end to end through discovery, build, demo, rollout, and follow-up

🎯 Requirements

• Personally shipped production software and can explain what was touched, how it was verified, and what changed for users • Comfortable in messy customer settings where the first request is rarely the real problem • Able to talk to operators in plain language, then return to the codebase and build the solution • TypeScript, React, Next.js, shadcn/Tailwind • Python (uv), Pydantic, Django/Django Ninja or FastAPI, background workers, and typed APIs • Postgres, migrations, service roles, tenant scoping, and auditability • pydantic-ai agents, typed outputs, evals, and provider choice across Gemini, OpenAI, and Bedrock • Vercel, Cloudflare, AWS, or GCP; able to debug deployment, environment configuration, logs, and customer-facing behavior • Evidence discipline: separating fact, inference, assumption, and risk • Product judgment regarding one-off customization versus core product • Strong communication skills and ability to explain what is safe, uncertain, and next • Nice to have: AWS IAM, GitHub OIDC, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, least privilege • Nice to have: infrastructure as code experience • Nice to have: experience in regulated industries such as energy, compliance, government permitting, healthcare, or finance • Nice to have: prior forward deployed, solutions, or founding engineer experience
