📋 Description

• Develop backend systems using Python and PostgreSQL • Work on financial systems and projects involving transactions, revenue, payments, financial reporting, and process automation • Build, maintain, and improve API performance, scalability, and reliability • Work with Redis caching systems, AWS cloud environments, Datadog or other observability tools, and Kubernetes • Work with AI agents or AI-powered backend workflows • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, external vendors, and stakeholders • Clarify requirements and support effective cross-functional collaboration • Contribute to projects for innovative startups and globally recognized brands through software engineering as a service

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, including at least 1–2 years of recent hands-on experience with Python • Strong proficiency in Python for backend development • Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database concepts • Experience working on financial projects or systems, including financial transactions, revenue processing, payments, financial reporting, or financial process automation • Experience working with AI agents or AI-powered backend workflows • Experience building, maintaining, and improving API performance, scalability, and reliability • Experience with caching systems such as Redis • Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar as part of the daily development workflow • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based environments • Experience with Datadog or other monitoring and observability tools • Familiarity with Kubernetes • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments • Advanced English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills • Send your application and CV in English (mandatory) • Based in Latin America • Nice to have: Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka in production environments • Nice to have: Experience working with distributed or event-driven systems • Nice to have: Experience improving backend reliability, observability, or performance • Nice to have: Experience collaborating directly with finance, operations, or external payment/service providers • Nice to have: Experience integrating Customer Support platforms with internal backend systems or automation workflows
