📋 Description

• Lead T&E matters end to end, from planning consultations and document review through signings and funding, across both flat-fee and custom engagements • Co-design the intake-to-first-draft system with the founding team, translating your practice judgment into workflows, drafting pipelines, and review protocols • Define the standard of care: what gets reviewed, by whom, at what depth, and how quality is measured matter over matter in an AI-native practice • Shape the productized offering, including scope, pricing, package boundaries, and the client experience from first call to funded trust • Recruit and mentor the first associates and partners who follow you, and build the culture they inherit • Own professional responsibility: supervision, conflicts, and the ethical architecture of a firm where attorneys direct the work and technology carries the load

🎯 Requirements

• A senior T&E attorney with roughly ten or more years of sophisticated planning experience. Licensed and in good standing in California or New York. Other jurisdictions considered for the right person. • You have built, or seriously contemplated building, a practice of your own and know what the business of law actually takes • Exceptional at the work and relentlessly focused on the client experience • Energized by the idea of designing what AI-enabled legal services look like, not reacting to it • Comfortable with ambiguity: shipping, revising, and putting your name on something new • Drawn to serving the middle of the market, households that need real counsel at a price they can afford • Nice to have: multi-state or high-volume practice experience, familiarity with legal technology or AI tools, existing referral relationships with financial advisors or CPAs
