📋 Description

• The Certified Coder/ Abstractor is responsible for analyzing patient records and assigning appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and industry best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required. • Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Information Management or Administration, or other related field preferred. • One or more of the following: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based (CCS-P) Certified Coding Associate (CCA) • Completion of a credentialed Coding/Abstractor education program required. • Minimum 2 years coding experience in an acute care setting.
