📋 Description

• Build and maintain modern web applications from UI through API and data layer • Develop new product features and improve existing applications • Integrate third-party APIs and external services • Build internal tools and automations that remove manual work from business processes • Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable software • Troubleshoot issues and improve application performance and reliability • Participate in code reviews and improve engineering practices • Work with AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments • Contribute to infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments • Improve workflows around environments, releases, and debugging • Contribute to monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing • Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement follow-up fixes • Apply security practices including least-privilege IAM, network security, encryption, secrets management, and secure configuration • Monitor AWS spend through right-sizing, autoscaling, and retiring unused resources

🎯 Requirements

• Several years building and shipping production web applications end to end • Strong programming fundamentals in a modern typed or backend language, with the ability to become productive in a new one quickly • Solid frontend skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with a modern component framework (React or equivalent) • Hands-on experience running applications on AWS or a comparable cloud platform • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure as code • Comfort operating what you build — debugging production issues, reading logs and metrics, and improving reliability over time • Experience with SQL and relational databases • Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services • Git and pull-request-based collaboration • Strong analytical skills and clear written and verbal communication • Must be available to work US time zones (EST minimum) • Nice to have: TypeScript; Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js; Terraform; container orchestration; observability tooling; AI services or LLM APIs; AI-assisted development tools; SOC 2 or similar compliance work; automation or workflow tooling
