• Discover, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors for major or principal gifts supporting Latin America's conservation and fundraising goals • Partner with the Senior Associate Director of Development, Relationship Managers, and fundraising leaders across TNC • Support Relationship Managers and TNC leadership in making asks for global and local priorities • Articulate TNC's global priorities and work within campaigns at an advanced level • Build proposal budgets using organizational budget knowledge • Work across chapters and programs and manage a referral network • Staff Latin America leadership on trips • Lead diverse activities, project outcomes, and solutions to improve effectiveness • Liaise with regional, global, development, conservation, public-sector, private-sector, and partner teams • Support the Latin America Development team in engaging leaders to increase donations • Assist in achieving the US$40M FY27 raised-for goal and doubling philanthropic revenue by 2030 • Execute strategies for discovery, cultivation, and stewardship of international prospects and donors capable of giving over US$100,000 • Support donor meetings, donor trips, in-person events, and leadership visits • Manage a portfolio of 25 to 50 Relationship Managers • Complete 25 to 50 Relationship Manager visits and 75 to 150 moves annually • Set and meet fundraising objectives, evaluate results, and develop corrective strategies • Project manage internal review processes for international solicitations and gifts • Draft personalized donor correspondence, proposals, stewardship notes, and reports • Support complex, diversified fundraising projects and coordinate development professionals • Use TNC's donor database to update information, produce reports, analyze data, and track and cultivate donors • Convey TNC's mission to diverse groups • Ensure compliance with TNC policies, procedures, and donor/legal/IRS requirements • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information • Travel domestically and/or internationally frequently and on short notice
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination • Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with major and principal gift donors, volunteers, and staff • Experience designing and implementing fundraising strategies, including cultivation, solicitation, and recognition strategies • Strong project management skills, including coordinating activities led by others and managing deadlines • Experience and ability to work across departments and multiple teams • Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting data • Familiarity with the Latin America Region • Based in Brazil • Fluency in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus • Ability to determine an individual's interests, capacity, and potential for helping the Conservancy meet its goals • Demonstrated use of listening, diplomacy, and tact to build strong relationships and motivate donors and volunteers • Proven ability to negotiate complex, high-profile, or sensitive agreements • Proficient use of TNC's donor database/CRM for portfolio management • Legal work authorization and residence in Brazil are required • Frequent domestic and/or international travel, often on short notice; ability to work long hours and weekends as needed
