📋 Description

• Configure and support the protection of new applications on Akamai WAF, including policies, rules, exceptions, domains, and environments; • Implement changes, policy adjustments, parameter configurations, and continuous refinements for applications that are already protected; • Participate in war rooms to analyze false blocks, provide technical incident support, and monitor sensitive changes in production; • Technically understand requests submitted through ServiceNow/Slack, assess their impact, and perform the necessary configurations in the consoles; • Review obsolete policies and objects, and manage logical access, users, and APIs in Akamai Control Center; • Interact with partner companies on technical and operational matters and provide occasional complementary support in the AWS WAF environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or a relevant specialization in Information Security; • Solid mid-level experience administering, technically operating, and supporting WAF (Web Application Firewall) solutions, preferably Akamai; • Strong knowledge of web application security, HTTP/HTTPS traffic analysis, and network protocols; • Hands-on experience troubleshooting applications, identifying false positives, and adjusting blocking policies; • Experience with change management processes (ITIL) and participation in war rooms; • Knowledge of and experience with AWS WAF; • Technical certifications related to Akamai or cloud application security (AppSec); • Understanding of common web vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and WAF-based mitigation methodologies; • Experience handling support tickets using tools such as ServiceNow.
