📋 Description

• Ensure backups are protected against unauthorized access and comply with information security best practices; • Maintain detailed records of backup strategies, configurations, tests and incidents; • Develop and maintain backup plans that meet organizational needs, including frequency, backup types (full, incremental, differential) and storage; • Install and configure storage resources, including high-availability settings; • Define and implement zone policies for access to storage system resources; • Use the management tool to perform tasks related to configuration and monitoring of the storage system; • Monitor and optimize storage system utilization using management tools, and perform load balancing when necessary to avoid resource overload; • Work with the various storage-area network (SAN) user teams to track actual space growth rates, and report storage system status to the relevant managers; • Log all abnormal events related to the SAN, keeping the involved managers informed of issues; • Prepare and keep up-to-date all documentation related to the components that comprise the storage solution; • Follow up on tickets opened with the vendor to resolve high-complexity storage-related issues; • Participate in projects, providing technical information on characteristics and sizing of computing resources required to support SAN solutions and their components; • Analyze requirements for sizing resources for the backup/restore infrastructure; • Propose changes to backup/restore policies for servers used in the production environment; • Install, configure, update and remove backup/restore hardware and software in test and production environments; • Follow up on tickets opened with the vendor to resolve high-complexity backup/restore issues; • Perform periodic restore tests to validate backups; • Prepare technical documents outlining best practices for using backup/restore software for distribution and dissemination to technical teams; • Participate in projects, providing technical information on characteristics and sizing of computing resources required to support backup/restore solutions and their components.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT). • Experience in information security. • ITIL 4 training with a minimum duration of 12 (twelve) hours. • Official ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher. • Advanced, Professional, Expert or equivalent certification for the Commvault and/or Veeam backup tool. • CompTIA Security+ or GIAC GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification).
