📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript • Apply test design patterns such as Page Object Model, Screenplay Pattern, App Actions, or Singleton • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines • Partner with Software Engineers during design to advocate for testability and influence feature development • Develop and enforce locator strategies for dynamic web applications • Analyze test execution data to identify quality bottlenecks and provide actionable insights • Manage test code through Git and participate in code reviews • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and efficiency • Document test procedures, results, and defects • Implement BDD using Gherkin syntax and create executable specifications as living documentation • Conduct targeted manual or exploratory testing for new features and complex edge cases • Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews • Mentor Software Engineers on effective unit, integration, and smoke tests • Collaborate with Product Managers on upcoming features and roadmaps to design proactive test strategies

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer, with a special focus on Playwright and/or Serenity-JS • Proven experience in software quality assurance, including QA methodologies, types of testing, and best practices • Strong foundations in TypeScript and JavaScript • Ability to write modular, reusable, and maintainable code for end-to-end, integration, and unit testing layers • Deep understanding of test design patterns and long-term test-suite maintenance • Expert knowledge of CSS selectors, XPath, and locator strategies for complex DOM structures • Advanced knowledge of Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile sprint cycles • Ability to debug complex failures and distinguish environment issues, script flakiness, and application bugs • Strong knowledge of RESTful API testing • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Experience with Python for scripting • Experience with Selenium, Serenity-BDD, or Cypress • Experience testing mobile, mobile-responsive web applications, and RESTful/GraphQL APIs • Experience configuring GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools • Familiarity with load testing tools such as k6 or Artillery • Prior experience in InsurTech or FinTech sectors • Experience with Docker, docker-compose, and/or other virtualization tools • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is nice to have • Candidates applying from Brazil must be authorized to work in Brazil without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
