📋 Description

• Translate content between English and Icelandic while preserving cultural nuance and clarity • Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms • Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices • Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality • Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for Icelandic-speaking markets • Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications • Creatively adapt text beyond the source when transcreation is required • Complete onboarding steps, including application forms and payment setup, after selection and testing

🎯 Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Icelandic and English/target-language translation capabilities • Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR • Graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR • 5 years of full-time professional translation experience • Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely • Reliable availability and commitment • Minimum availability of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week for most tasks • Updated CV/resume in English • Must complete a domain-specific test if required • Contractors cannot be engaged in regions subject to international embargoes or sanctions • Sole responsibility for personal tax obligations
