📋 Description

• Prepare monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients • Prepare management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cashflow reporting • Analyse financial performance and identify business trends, risks and opportunities • Account for stock movements, gross margins, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and financing arrangements • Investigate unusual variances and raise client queries • Prepare annual financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders • Complete and self-review compliance work, including workpapers and reconciliations • Prepare budgets and basic forecasts • Maintain client relationships and communicate financial information clearly • Prepare logical and clear workpapers • Manage workflow and time budgets to meet deadlines • Record time live on timesheets and achieve productivity targets • Prepare income tax returns and GST returns • Assist with GST-related queries • Calculate tax obligations for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals • Conduct tax research and apply relevant legislation • Identify tax planning opportunities and escalate complex matters • Take ownership of individual and team work • Make recommendations and provide timely solutions • Assess information, identify roadblocks and recommend courses of action • Understand role responsibilities, technical requirements and wider business impact

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in public practice accounting • Hands-on experience with New Zealand accounting and taxation • Experience preparing management accounts and annual financial statements • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including stock, margins, accruals and prepayments • Experience working with clients across various industries • Experience with importing goods, inventory management, and goods-in-transit is preferred • Proficiency in Xero or other cloud-based accounting software • Full-time availability • Monday to Friday work schedule • Availability from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM PH time; may start earlier but no later than 7:30 AM and must complete 8 working hours
