📋 Description

• Manage short-term electricity positions in the day-ahead and intraday markets • Continuously develop and improve trading activities • Analyze forecasts, balancing group positions, market prices, and market signals • Derive economically optimal trading decisions • Optimize short-term energy procurement, taking market prices, expected imbalance energy prices, and regulatory requirements into account • Further develop models and optimization logic in collaboration with the Commercial Analytics team • Support the implementation and ongoing development of automated trading, forecasting, and optimization processes, as well as the required systems • Monitor the performance of trading strategies, forecasts, and models • Identify opportunities for improvement • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards • Contribute to cross-functional projects

🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience in energy trading, balancing group management, portfolio management, or a comparable energy industry environment • Strong understanding of electricity markets and the relationships between forecasts, balancing groups, schedules, and imbalance energy • Ideally, experience in day-ahead or intraday trading • Interest in data-driven decision-making models, automation, and the ongoing development of trading processes • Strong IT affinity and the ability to quickly learn new systems, data models, and applications • Analytical mindset, initiative, and a structured approach to work • Excellent written and spoken German • Good written and spoken English
