📋 Description

• Safely install, remove, and replace industrial battery systems, cabinets, and related equipment, following manufacturer specs and company procedures. • Assemble battery strings, route cabling, and torque connections to exact standards using proper tools and PPE. • Perform battery testing, capacity tests, voltage readings, and thermal checks to ensure systems meet performance standards. • Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety protocols while working around high-voltage DC systems. • Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and customers to complete installations on time and to the highest quality. • Maintain accurate installation records, including serial numbers, torque logs, and test data. • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools to move heavy battery systems. • Perform site cleanup and ensure the proper disposal or recycling of removed batteries. • Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic electrical or battery-related issues during installation. • Participate in ongoing training to keep up with evolving battery technologies and industry best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Previous experience in UPS battery installation, telecom battery systems, or industrial electrical work preferred. • Basic understanding of DC power systems and electrical safety. • OSHA 10/30 or NFPA 70E training preferred. • Forklift certification a plus. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays.
