📋 Description

• Audit AI training data in Spanish rather than produce it • Perform Multilingual Transcription Audits by listening to speech, reviewing annotator transcriptions, applying error codes, assigning pass/fail verdicts, and writing rationales • Perform Forced Alignment Audits by verifying word-level segment timestamps and reference transcriptions • Correct inaccurate boundaries, split or merge segments, add missing segments, and remove segments containing no word • Tag every applicable error code and explain in plain language why each task passed or failed • Call out critical errors first so failure reasons are clear • Complete a short calibration phase before production work begins • Work across Amazon Sonic audit collections • Collaborate with leading AI researchers on projects training and enhancing AI systems

🎯 Requirements

• Native or near-native command of Spanish as spoken in Spain • Born and raised in a region where Spanish and this variety is dominant, or fully fluent with five or more years of residence in such a region • Strong English reading and writing skills • Ability to read a detailed rulebook and write clear audit feedback in English • Disciplined application of written rubrics across hundreds of judgments • Careful listening skills, including distinguishing similar sounds and word boundaries in continuous speech • Ability to distinguish genuine acoustic ambiguity from clear annotator errors • Prior transcription, subtitling, localization, linguistic annotation, or QA experience is a strong signal • Helpful but not required: prior AI data annotation or model evaluation work • Helpful but not required: phonetics or linguistics background • Helpful but not required: experience with audio editing or waveform tools • Independent contractor engagement • H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
