📋 Description

• Lead the platform’s most demanding technical initiatives, involving consistency, money movement, regulated integrations, or a high risk of reversals • Design solutions and document architectural decisions, keeping ADRs and the reference architecture up to date • Define and version integration contracts with partners and between services before implementation • Raise the team’s technical standards through influence by proposing and upholding architecture and coding standards, and conducting reviews focused on critical areas • Support the definition of how the squad uses AI throughout the development lifecycle, contributing repeatable context and tooling • Support financial operations, including the health of payment and wallet flows in production, monitoring, reconciliation, incident response, and regulatory obligations • Serve as the highest technical escalation point for difficult incidents by investigating, diagnosing, resolving, and turning lessons learned into preventive measures • Address technical debt that compromises scalability or reliability, with explicit prioritization • Communicate with Engineering, Product, Operations, Finance, and Compliance to ensure business and regulatory requirements are met

🎯 Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education (any field) • Strong experience with critical transactional systems, focusing on idempotency, consistency, reconciliation, and traceability • Strong command of architecture and design patterns, with problem-driven decision-making • Experience with coding agents (Claude Code or similar) throughout the full development lifecycle: specification, implementation, testing, and review • Ability to disseminate practices, tools, and standards that increase team productivity • Experience with relational databases, including data modeling, transactions, and performance • Experience with testing strategies, including unit, contract, API, integration, and load testing • Experience with integration contracts, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident prevention • Autonomy to lead technical initiatives end to end and influence decisions • Clear communication with Engineering, Product, and business teams, translating technical risks into business impact • Flexibility to handle changing priorities while maintaining technical consistency • Experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem, or with Node.js or Go • Experience with Brazilian payment methods (Pix/SPI/DICT, TED/STR, boleto, and CIP) • Experience with core banking, general ledgers, and double-entry bookkeeping • Experience with third-party integrations in regulated environments (BACEN, banking correspondents, and payment processors) • Experience working at fintechs or with regulated financial systems • Familiarity with asynchronous messaging (SQS/SNS or equivalent) and anticorruption layer patterns • Knowledge of cloud-native applications, containers, microservices, and AWS • Experience with CI/CD and quality automation in the delivery pipeline • Familiarity with observability, including metrics, distributed tracing, and actionable alerts • Experience building AI-powered automations and internal tools (agents, MCP, skills, and context pipelines) • Experience taking AI solutions to production in regulated environments, with attention to privacy, auditing, and sensitive data controls
