📋 Description

• Architect and build highly scalable distributed data systems to enable cloud-based video surveillance and IoT control • Lead architectural decisions, evaluating trade-offs and defining design patterns for enterprise-scale systems • Collaborate with product managers and engineering leaders to define roadmaps and features • Mentor senior engineers, promote test automation, and establish engineering best practices • Drive delivery velocity while maintaining quality across releases and managing technical debt • Partner with executive leadership to shape the technical roadmap and communicate progress • Ensure security, reliability, and scalability in cloud-native deployments

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive software engineering experience, including at least 4 years designing and implementing microservice-based solutions • Proficiency in Golang and at least one additional language (Python, C#, C/C++, or Java) • Experience with real-time data processing technologies (Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, or similar) • Proven ability to incrementally enhance and optimize existing systems while managing technical debt and navigating complex dependencies • Advanced experience implementing sophisticated testing methodologies, with a proven track record of TDD/BDD adoption and the ability to mentor engineering teams in these practices • Substantial experience architecting and deploying enterprise applications on public cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including a deep understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and advanced Git-based workflows • Expert knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker image optimization and lifecycle management, alongside a comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architectures • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders while fostering a culture of engineering excellence across multiple domains
