📋 Description

• Work on the development and integration of services in a legacy mainframe environment, with a strong focus on batch workflow operations and rapid incident resolution. • Operate and monitor batch workflows in Control-M (Mainframe), ensuring SLAs are met. • Act quickly on abends/failures: analysis, fixes, release, and reprocessing/restart. • Perform quick investigations in programs to identify root causes and execution parameters. • Make changes to JCLs and COBOL/DB2 programs — steps, DDs, parameters, datasets, conditionals, and return codes (RCs). • Adjust and validate SYSINs (cards/execution parameters). • Implement changes and perform analyses on COBOL programs/JCLs following the change process when applicable.

🎯 Requirements

• Mainframe: Solid experience with Control-M — dependencies, rerun/restart and troubleshooting. • JCL / SYSIN: Mastery of JCL and SYSIN, including return codes (RCs), steps and datasets such as GDG/VSAM. • Environment: Experience in failure analysis and working in TSO/ISPF environments. • Languages / DB: COBOL / DB2 / Oracle. • Architecture: Knowledge of development architecture patterns. • Methodology: Familiarity with agile methodologies. • Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence. • Ability to break down complex problems into smaller parts for diagnosis. • Sense of urgency and focus on quickly restoring batch workflows. • Analytical reasoning and objective investigation for rapid diagnosis. • Organization and discipline to record actions and evidence (traceability). • Clear communication with development, business and operations teams.
