📋 Description

• Manage the engineering team, including hiring, coaching, performance, growth paths, and feedback • Design and ship the Kubernetes control plane alongside the team • Own architecture and difficult implementation decisions involving scheduling, operators, provisioning, and node lifecycle • Own Kubernetes control-plane reliability and respond to critical incidents • Reduce bare-metal-to-on-demand-cluster provisioning time through automation • Partner with Product Managers on priorities, initiative scope, and technical/business tradeoffs • Define team processes and execution rituals as the team grows • Own the Kubernetes product end to end, including GPU support for training, inference, and general-purpose compute

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of real people leadership • Experience managing engineers, including hiring, coaching, giving honest feedback, and growing them • Production systems experience in Go • Kubernetes experience, ideally including building operators, schedulers, or controllers • Understanding of Kubernetes internals • Direct Linux experience, not only managed services • Experience running GPU workloads on Kubernetes, or confidence to own that domain quickly • Experience building backend or infrastructure systems • Experience partnering with product, design, and business teams to ship software used by real users • Low-ego, team-first mindset
