📋 Description

• Build features end to end, from React Native screens to Spring Boot services • Lead mobile and web client development • Launch new markets and reduce the manual effort required for subsequent launches • Address regulatory, payout, and localization requirements for each country • Build tooling to make market launches more efficient • Work on balances, ledgers, transfers, and reconciliation • Design integrations with payout partners, KYC vendors, card issuers, and internal platforms • Improve automated testing, alerting, wallet recovery, and KYC flows • Deploy, monitor, and operate built systems • Participate in on-call and root-cause analysis • Instrument shipped products and analyze user drop-off in cash-to-balance conversion • Collaborate with product teams and influence product decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years building and shipping production software • Strong React and React Native experience • Experience shipping and maintaining a production mobile app • Fluency in TypeScript • Ability to build interfaces for low-end devices and poor connections • Solid backend engineering in Java and Spring Boot, or comparable experience and willingness to learn them quickly • RESTful API design • Relational data modeling • Familiarity with distributed-systems failure modes • Automated testing and CI/CD experience • Comfort working with legacy systems and incremental refactoring • Genuine interest in the product and its users • Ability to operate with limited direction in a small, fast-moving team • Existing right to work in Germany or Portugal • Availability to collaborate with US East Coast teams, five to six hours behind • Nice to have: payments or fintech at scale, including ledgering, reconciliation, KYC/AML, PCI, and chargebacks • Nice to have: crypto, stablecoins, blockchain payment rails, wallet and custody infrastructure, and smart contracts • Nice to have: native iOS or Android experience alongside React Native
