Mülheim macht MINT gGmbH is a German non-profit organization offering hands-on STEM (MINT) workshops and courses for children aged 8–12, focused on experiments in science, technology, informatics and on exploring and protecting nature. The organization aims to spark curiosity and joy in discovery, make natural-science learning accessible and engaging, and involve the local community through events, donations and volunteer opportunities.

📋 Description

• Independent outreach to primary schools (phone, in-person meetings, on-site visits when necessary) • Familiarization with OGS/OGT structures • Transition into pedagogical work with children (courses/after-school clubs) starting after the autumn holidays • Supported onboarding – you will not be alone • Delivery of engaging STEM courses and workshops for children and young people aged 8 to 15 (e.g., experiments, technology modules, biological and technical topics) • Lead instructor or assistant depending on experience – solo or as part of a team • Preparation and follow-up for workshops – partly possible remotely • Organization and use of our STEM activity kit • Contributing to new content: your ideas and expertise are explicitly welcome

🎯 Requirements

• Passion and curiosity for STEM subjects (e.g., physics, technology, biology, computer science) • Enthusiasm for working with children and young people • Initial experience in youth or educational work, pedagogical support, or running workshops is an advantage but not required • Sense of responsibility, reliability, and team spirit • Initiative, creative thinking, and willingness to learn our topics • Strong German language skills at a native level
