📋 Description

• Analyze customer expectations, regulatory/compliance drivers, and threat models to define functional and non-functional requirements for security solutions • Conduct market scans to identify security products, platforms, and vendors across CSPM/CNAPP, DLP, IAM/IGA, EDR/XDR, data security, Kubernetes security, and AI/ML security • Evaluate vendors’ technical capability, security posture, integration requirements, roadmap, data residency/compliance, and support quality • Develop threat-aligned PoC test plans, success criteria, quantitative metrics, attack scenarios, and automation opportunities • Architect and deploy isolated PoC environments simulating production infrastructure, including cloud VPCs, Kubernetes clusters, test data, IaC, and typical workloads • Execute security research methodologies, simulate attack scenarios, validate features, and assess false positive/negative rates • Document technical performance data, integration challenges, security gaps, and comparative analysis metrics • Deliver data-driven reports and presentations with recommendations for solution and vendor selection • Collaborate with Security Engineering, Platform/Infra, and DevOps teams on integration, operation, scaling, and implementation handoffs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years in Security Engineering, Security Architecture, or a dedicated Security Research role focused on solution validation and vendor management • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, including AWS/Azure/GCP security models, Kubernetes/containers, network segmentation, IaC scanning, least privilege, identity-centric security, and confidential computing • Strong scripting/programming skills, such as Python or Go, for automating PoCs, building test harnesses, and integrating tools via APIs and CI/CD pipelines • Proven hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and testing two or more enterprise-grade security tools, such as SIEM/SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management, or Secrets Management • Ability to plan and execute complex technical PoCs, set up test environments, and define quantitative success metrics • Exceptional analytical skills to translate technical findings into business risk and strategic recommendations • Strong written and verbal communication • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply and provide proof of employment eligibility as a condition of hire
